Day 01: Baltra Island - Santa Cruz Island
Arrival at Baltra Island and transfer by bus and ferry to Santa Cruz Island. En route visit the highlands of Santa Cruz where you can observe the enormous change of vegetation that ranges from dry areas full of cactus to rainforest and fern zones. During a short stop you may take pictures of the Twin Craters. Then visit a lava tunnel, a fun and geologically informative visit and observe the famous giant tortoise in its natural environment. Overnight at the hotel on Santa Cruz Island.
Day 02: Santa Cruz Island
Full day boat excursion (on shared basis) to visit one of the islands Seymour North, South Plazas, Bartholomew or Santa Fe or the Dragon Hill. Each of the islands has its own significant beauties to offer and regardless which you’ll visit, you’ll definitely enjoy your stay. Lunch on board is included.
Day 03: Santa Cruz Island
From Puerto Ayora, walk about 3.2km (2mi.) to Tortuga Bay, one of the longest white sandy beaches in the archipelago. You may see marine iguanas, sharks, sea turtles, and migratory birds. Then visit the Charles Darwin Research station followed by lunch in a typical hacienda.
Day 4: Santa Cruz Island - Baltra Island
In the morning transfer to the Baltra airport, to catch the flight back to the mainland.
