Welcome to Glowing Jungle of India's Western Ghats

Nature never ceases to amaze them who are willing to experience a phenomenon that cannot be described in words. The Bhimashankar Wildlife Reserve, located within the regions of Goa and Maharashtra turns to an awe-inspiring destination after sunset. This phenomenon is caused due to a bacteria that has a unique ability to emit light in the presence of moisture. The forest experiences heavy rainfall during the season of monsoon and eventually displays a captivating spectacle of bioluminescent effect. However, this is not a daily common sight and is only available during the months of July, August and September when the chances of rainfall are high.
