Vistara to boost frequencies to Frankfurt & Paris

Recent update coming up for travellers and frequent flyers planning to travel to Germany and France as Vistara has announced more than a 100% increase in frequencies to/from Frankfurt and Paris as it gears up to receive its third Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft which has been leased recently.

Starting from 30 October, the airline will operate 6x weekly flights between Delhi and Frankfurt, up from the current 3x weekly frequency; while connectivity between Delhi and Paris goes up from 2x to 5x weekly.

China Visa Update

In a recent report, China has announced plans to issue visas to Indian students who are waiting at home for a prolonged period due to strict COVID restrictions.

The announcement also revealed that X1-Visa will be issued to the students who intend to visit China to pursue long-term study for higher academic education, including newly-enrolled students and students who wish to return to China to resume their studies. More than 23,000 Indian students are still waiting due to COVID visa restrictions.

India had already submitted a list of students after China asked for the names of the candidates who wish to pursue their studies.

Lufthansa Group to offer fare for CO2-neutral flying

For the first time, Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines are offering a new fare that is inclusive of full CO2 compensation in the price. 80 percent of the offsetting is done through high-quality climate protection projects and 20 percent through the use of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). In the pilot project, launched on 2nd August 2022, the new Green Fare will initially be offered to all guests booking their flight from Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The Lufthansa Group is the first international aviation group pioneering it’s price offerings to its customers with a separate ‘green fare’ for CO2-neutral flying with sustainable aviation fuels.
